Buffalo Community Calendar project began in early 2025 as a people driven effort to make local organizing more visible and accessible. Sparked by conversations among people who noticed how hard it can be to get started without existing connections, the project grew from a shared Google Drive into a collaborative tool - designed to highlight protests, meetings, mutual aid, and educational opportunities from organizations across Buffalo. What started as a few people sharing ideas over coffee and Zoom is becoming a collective effort to build a centralized, community-powered calendar rooted in solidarity and accessibility.

Our team hit the streets to connect with community members, listen to powerful speakers, and spread the word about staying engaged. We handed out flyers and stickers as part of our outreach -reminding folks that showing up and staying involved is how we build the future we deserve, together.
